Most of my waking hours are devoted to Jabber / XMPP, an open protocol for streaming XML whose first application is an instant messaging and presence network that is widely acknowledged as "the Linux of instant messaging". Among my roles in the Jabber/XMPP community are Executive Director of the XMPP Standards Foundation (XSF), managing editor of our standards process, and primary author of the XMPP RFCs. (In April 2004 I wrote a semi-official job description.)

A briefer version of my résumé is available in two formats: plain text and XML/XSL. In the interest of full disclosure, I've also included a brutally honest version. :-)
